If you are one of the many who has been enjoying GUI J’s ‘Game of the Year’ for 2008 (Burnout Paradise), you may now add “A Dark Knight 2” to your invite list on the Xbox 360. We would like to send out thanks to all who entered our “Best comment” contest for episode #50. There were some good entries, but there was no denying the winner. Here’s the winning entry:
Every show they produce is worth the price
It’s truly #1, like Burnout Paradise
Sure, on iTunes they need more reviews
but nothings more relaxing than games and booze
GuiJ and BDazzler are genuinely cleaver
and Steve519 rocks the smallest penis ever
Yo! Word to Platform Nations motha’…………!
Peace!
Congratulations, Mark. I hope to be receiving my copy soon too. And of course, a huge thanks to “Dukati916sps” for providing both copies of Burnout Paradise and well as a few other prizes.
Keep a listening and watching the posts for new contests coming up.

I’ve noticed that about 1/3 of my “Watch Instantly” queue is warning me that it won’t be available after (or sometimes before) 12/31/08. If you have some movies in that queue that you want to watch, make sure you look at your queue on your PC and move the ones that are leaving up to the top. The Xbox 360 queue shows no indication of when the content might disappear.
Licenses come and go, and it looks like several are ready to go soon. Will they be renewed? Maybe, just make sure you check it out before it’s too late.
Here’s just a few titles in my queue that I don’t want to miss before the new year: “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, “Enter the Dragon, Special Edition”, “Kelly’s Heroes”, “Ladyhawke”, “The Dirty Dozen”, “Real Genuis”, “Superman Doomsday”, “Ghost Busters”, “The Fifth Element”, “Diggstown”, and “Crimson Tide”.
Rise of the Argonauts is a game, that has had ZERO exposure, and for some time this title has peeked my interest. As an action RPG game (Ala God of War) published by Codemasters and developed by Liquid Entertainment, Rise of the Argonauts is set to ship to stores in the U.S. on Dec. 16, 2008 for the Xbox 360, and the PLAYSTATION 3
This weeks Gear for Geeks comes to us from the fine folks at both Epic, and Neca Club. This fine Gears of War 2 hoodie caught my eye recently, and with The Gamers Pub wrapping up the Community Play date by playing Gears of War 2, I thought what better way to tie it all in than with this fine hoodie to keep you warm in these winter months.
At $49.99 its guaranteeed to please, get it here!

That’s right, the Pub is off the bar stools, and into the depths of Seran with the Community and some other Platform Nation hosts and staff helping us out.
The Gamers Pub team members will be online Sunday, December 7 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. ET (2:00 – 5:00 P.M. PT) playing Gears of War 2. Look out for these Gamertags:
Here’s my suggestion for the best chance to get into our playdate. Send a friends request to the gamer tag “The Gamers Pub” (with spaces) so we can invite you. This tag will act as an extended friends list for all Pub Staffers. I hope this makes it easier for everyone and we can get as many as we can into games with us. The staff will be broken up into teams of 2 for most of the night. The response has been overwhelming. We are all ecstatic to see so many interested in our playdate, but we may not get to everyone. We will do our best, but this means kicking people after a few rounds and making a new room for others. Please understand and have a great time. We’ll be rotating many different game types, but not much hoard because it only holds the 2 staffers and 3 others, where as vs. modes (unranked) can hold 2 staffers and 8 others.
The Gamers Pub and the rest of Platform Nation want to send out a big thanks to Trixie360 (and her menions) for making this happen. Another Platform Nation show is having a playdate soon. Leave a comment and tell us what show, what game and what date and you could win a prize. Also, if you get to play with us, drop an email to xlmail@microsoft.com with the subject: “Community Playdate – Gamers Pub.” Be sure to include your Gamertag and home town! Microsoft will be posting recaps from gamers all across the country.
There seems to be a misprint on the dashboard of 5-8pm ET, so GUI J is going to try to be on early, and BDazzler will try to join soon after.

This is a rant that I just need to get of my chest, so before everyone goes off on me let it be said that this is a rant wholly on my part.
Fuc* Rockband DLC Fu$k it up is bitch ass I hate you, I hate you, I hate you. I have thus far invested over a hundred dollars into your game Harmonix, and while as a DJ I love all styles of music my favorite genera has been ignored to this date. I’m talking about the Ska/ Punk/ Reggae genera that The Gamers Pub has been asking for since the pod cast began. What caused me to go on this rant that has cause Gui J (One of the most Rasta, calm, mofos on Platform Nation) to go ape Shit?
